    The best!
28 day coastal roadtrip from Barcelona to Marbella Spain, after flying (carry on only) from California. The Sojourn was way easier than I expected! Planes, subways, buses, and cars, rain and sunshine, the Sojourn safely and conveniently kept me hands free. The hip and shoulder straps are well positioned to comfortably distribute the weight. I purchased and returned every reputable branded version I could find, went with the Sojourn and never looked back. If you are strategic about what you pack, you will agree. Very clever construction allows you to tuck away all access points and zippers so that unwelcome hands cannot pry. Even the hip and shoulder straps easily tuck away to make storage easy. I can’t say enough about how this bag changed the way I travel!

    Worth the money!
It’s very well designed and made. The laptop pocket is a masterstroke. The amount of stuff this backpack can fit is just incredible. High quality zippers and fabric. Fits nicely into overhead bins that are too small for shell carry-ons

    Great for carryon travel!
Used this to carry 2 weeks’ worth of luggage for trip to Europe. Very spacious, great ability to cinch down, and fits in airplane overhead. Very comfortable as a backpack and beats rolling a suitcase.

    AT LAST!
I’m a toddler-mom and avid traveler. This bag is THE ONE. I’ve used a bigger 40-l backpack which was just too big. Next trip I sized down to a 20-l backpack which was a tad too small. This 30-l is absolutely amazing. It has a good amount of pockets and space, is durable and sturdy. I also like the QR-code added for in case you loose your bag — a good safety feature. I fitted two pairs of clothes for both me and my boy. All his nappies and toys needed for a 14-hour flight (and three other shorter flights). I used it for our extended ten week trip in Europe this summer. My back never ached, and we even strapped Mickey Mouse on the outside with the two straps across the bag and never dropped the doll. My favorite pack!

    Great pack
It’s a huge improvement if you need a lightweight way to carryon.
The backpack is extremely light and really does help you cinch down to reduce size further. It’s really roomy and the included straps are useful for weight distribution.
I only have two major issues with it. First is that the chest strap is functional but underwhelming. It doesn’t feel substantial.
Second, and this is an issue I’ve seen in pretty much every backpack in this category, pocket/compartments outside of the main compartment are nearly useless, especially when the backpack is fully packed and cinched down. It’s something I’m not complaining about too much since this pack gets the job done, but if it had smart, more usable, more accessible compartments outside the main compartment, it would make the backpack best in class and an auto-buy.

Great travel backpack for short trips
This backpack is awesome! Super comfortable and the materials used are very good quality. Backed by Osprey’s great warranty and it makes the purchase event more worth it. The straps are also a great bonus in allowing you to synch down your belongs. Would definitely recommend packing cubes to double the compactness the backpack offers.

    Great travel pack
I love my Gregory day pack, but wanted something more specific for traveling. This fit the bill and has a lot of great features. Holds my giant laptop and a couple of outfits, plus all my travel items. Fits nicely under the seat of every Delta flight I’ve been on. Love having a hip belt, load lifters, and chest strap for long walks across terminals – having a good fitting pack is my key to not having any back or shoulder pain while traveling. I love all the lockable zippers for when traveling to higher crime areas or places where pickpockets are rampant. My only negative is that as a tiny female (4’10.5″ and short waisted) this pack is slightly too big for me. Osprey packs don’t fit me as well as Gregory, but that’s a me problem. Even XS packs often can’t adjust enough to be perfectly fitted on me. Unless you are also a tiny human that can fully stand up under the overhead bins of smaller aircraft, this pack will probably fit you perfectly. I would definitely purchase this again.

    Wow!
Incredible design (truly, I am sure it’s a patented design as it is novel, not obvious, useful, etc) ergonomic, spacious, travel bag that shrinks enough to be used as an everyday commuter bag. I was able to fit a 17inch Dell XPS and Ipad Pro 12.9″ both w cushioned protective sleeve (maxing out the laptop space). In my opinion, it’s much better than the Series 2: Large Expandable Knack Pack 46L, which I bought but returned; also larger and better designed than the Peak Design Travel Backpack 45, which I did not buy but painstakingly compared based on specs. Also it’s more than $100 cheaper than the other two (which are certainly overpriced) not sure whether Osprey just overlooked record high inflation or is trying to keep true to its value (and client base!), most likely the latter. I googled it seems like a great company, lot of history and pedigree, but it seems owned by down to Earth people, just great backpacks, climbing included, probably some of them ended up at the top of Mount Everest, and are still there. My hats off.

I travel a fair bit. This is a great pack for travel

I’d had an older version of the porter many years ago and loved it. This one just takes on an already great design and improves on it. Managed to get a 4 day trips worth of cold weather clothes in this bag and easily had it fit in the overhead compartment. Bag is comfortable to wear and has plenty of space for gear.

Excellent compression for carry on size. Strap system reduces the bag which has some great storage organization. Highly recommend.
